A Five-day adventure of music, movement and story-telling
Is your child interested in music and aged between 8 and 11 years? If so, they would enjoy Music Factory, a week-long creative music project for children from Limerick and surrounding areas.
This year it will take place in Limerick from Friday 2-6 July at St. Mary’s Band Hall, Mary Street, Limerick.

Working directly with Diane Daly and fellow musicians from the Irish Chamber Orchestra, our young participants will take a five-day adventure with music, movement and story-telling. Participants will absorb stories from the richly historic city of Limerick and turn them into music using rhythm-games, improvisation, drama and instrument making.
They will create a musical piece, which will be performed for friends and family at St Mary’s Cathedral on Friday 6 July at 2pm and again on Wednesday 11 July at 1pm for a special public performance as part of the MBNA Shannon International Music Festival with the Irish Chamber Orchestra.
Music Factory runs from Monday 2 to Friday 6 July. Groups will be divided into two sessions. Morning: 10am-12 noon Afternoon: 1-3pm at a cost of only €50.
Places are strictly limited on this hugely popular workshop and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To participate, please return a completed application form by Friday 1 June, along with a cheque for €50, to Music Factory, Irish Chamber Orchestra, ER
